SPOILER: Sunday night’s episode titled, “Stalker” of The Walking Dead, was not only intense, but very skillful coming from Whisperers and Alexandrians. A battle is expected since some characters such as Daryl, Lydia, Mary, Alpha and Beta made some “big moves” if you will. It was exciting to see Alpha in a state of weakness but also nail-biting to see Daryl unable to stand on his own two feet. But with the help from Lydia, Daryl was able to escape from the wrath of Alpha.
As a fan of the show, you tend to take sides and like or dislike whatever character gets under your skin. Alpha (Samantha Morton) and Beta (Ryan Hurst) of the Whisperers, tend to slither like a snake under people’s skin as they continue to fight our beloved characters. Speaking of slithering like a snake, Beta created the bright idea to enter his RV where they built an underground tunnel leading toward Alexandria. Very skillful to say the least. All the while, Alpha fights Daryl (Norman Reedus), where they both get seriously hurt.
Alpha lies on the ground as her vision becomes disoriented. She sees her daughter Lydia (Cassady McClincy), and begs her to take her mother’s life. Lydia can’t do it; claiming that’s not what she’s there for. Leaving Alpha to pass out, Lydia aids Daryl into an escape farther into the woods and away from her mother. Lydia has been watching everyone as she thinks about which side to choose. She’s obviously made her choice and now she has to live with it. Alpha isn’t stupid, she will eventually come across her daughter once again.
Over in Alexandria, Mary (Thora Birch), a Whisperer, has come to snitch on Alpha. She’s trying to help save the Alexandria friends of Connie (Lauren Ridloff) and Magna (Nadia Hilker). In the previous episode, the cave they were trapped in collapsed while they were still inside. Mary told Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Rosita (Christian Serratos) of this news because she tends to get closer to her nephew (the baby Alpha pawned off to the people of Alexandria). Of course they don’t believe her until Beta comes crawling up into the grounds of Alexandria himself in order to capture Mary and take her home.
Oh what a battle it’s going to be once Alpha is cleared of her wounds and Daryl finds out the fate of Connie and Magna. Beta ran off toward the camp of the Whisperers but his fight is far from over. Can anyone fully trust Mary? And what will she do once she gets into the grounds of Hilltop? Each character’s behavior is in speculation and we will just have to wait and find out what type of battle is on the way.
